Choose Health Over Misconceptions

Why Are They Refusing to Vaccinate?

According to a new AP report released today, more than 1 in 20 kindergarteners in public schools across eight states aren’t getting the required number of vaccines stipulated for attendance.

In large part, parents are opting out of the vaccine requirements via medical, religious or personal belief exemptions, which vary by state. Reasons behind the personal belief exemptions include fears about vaccine side effects (many worry about connections between vaccines and autism though a recent National Academy of Sciences report found no link between the two) to wanting to be able to decide exactly which vaccines are given to their child.

There is no scientific evidence that vaccines cause autism. They actually believe now that autism starts very early in brain development. The only reason more children are being diagnosed with autism is because doctors have become more aware of it and can now diagnose it better then years ago when children were labeled mentally retarded or slow.

Are We Going to Be Run Over With Diseases

The growing trend of parents refusing to vaccinate their children is causing some devastation in the United States. Measles was completely gone until this past year. Now children and adults alike are being put into a predicament of the chance of catching these diseases because of this.

If you don't want to vaccinate your child that is your choice but they then should be home schooled and not taken in to public to protect people from coming down with measles, mumps or rubella.

Each year about 60 people in the United States are reported to have measles. But in 2013, 189 people have been reported to have the disease. This represents the second largest number of cases in the U.S. since measles was eliminated in 2000.

Doctors Don't Want to Treat Unvaccinated Children

There’s a new twist to the ongoing vaccine debate: Doctors are increasingly “firing” patients whose refuse to vaccinate their children, according to a new report from The Wall Street Journal.

One office in Michigan, for example, made the decision to stop treating vaccine-refusers because they could expose children — some of whom are too young for some shots — to diseases.

So who is going to treat the children that no one wants to treat? A doctor that is against vaccination. How will they find one? Most children will be seen in the ER now because doctors are refusing to take care of unvaccinated children.

This is only my opinion: I would rather have a child with autism then a dead child that could have very well been alive had I vaccinated them. The benefits far out weight the risks.

Different Views on Vaccination

Mothers feel that vaccination is causing mental defects in their children such as autism. Nothing has been prove scientifically about this.

Doctors and nurses are tired of preaching about why vaccination is important. Many children are being brought up without life saving vaccines and are putting other children at risk for infection.

How can vaccines cause issues when most generations have been vaccinated and no one has had a bad reaction. Most vaccines are dead.

In early years there were many epidemics and pandemics but the help of vaccines has eradicated most of them. Why would you put your child at risk of any preventable disease?

Vaccines are Needed for Children

When you refuse to vaccinate your child, you are opening up a whole world of diseases that they would not have to get if they would have been vaccinated. There is no proof that vaccines cause any other thing except some mild discomfort at the injection sight, fever, and redness. What ever parents choose to think that vaccines cause anything other then protection, then I feel for their child.

When I was a child, once a year we would line up at the fire station and get vaccines. You were not allowed in school then if you did not get vaccinated. Even in my adult life I have had blood work done and still have immunity to those diseases. Protect your children and vaccinate them.
