Don't Wait for Devastation to Start to Live Your Life

Updated on September 26, 2021

There is too Much Beauty for All the World to See

A Beautiful Place

Live in the Moment

People spend their lives working waiting for retirement so they can enjoy life, but then some kind of devestation happens in their life and they are no longer able to do anything. They become slaves of cancer, strokes, heart failure, paralysis, and even death and guess what? They never enjoyed anything.

Live in the moment and do the things you want to do now. Don't wait for the children to grow up or get so involved in everyone else's life that you can't enjoy your own.

Everyday I look in the faces of people dieing with cancer and some will never get to enjoy one minute in life again. They won't have their favorite dessert because now everything taste like metal. They won't see their grand children grow up or even see their own children get married.

They wanted to wait til they retired to travel, see the world, and finally live. But that time never came or will come because if they live to see another day it will be a miracle.

Why do we think we are not deserving of doing what we want to do now? I made a vow a few years back that every year I would go somewhere because I don't want to wait until I retire to enjoy my life.

Yesterday I was 25 next year I will be 50 those 25 years flew like it was an hour. If you can't take time now to enjoy your life then when? I save a little each month and go without some things in order to have a nice vacation every single year or to go see my family when I can.

I won't leave this world being untraveled or not know what it was like to see the beauty our world displays.

Life is too short people. Live Well, Love Much, and Laugh Often. When you're 20 you will think I have a long time before I get old but let me tell you it will go by quickly and you won't know what happened to all those years.

Do what you want to now because tomorrow is never promised to anyone.

Why We Hold Out Until Retirement

Let's face it, we all have life around us. We went to college or started working right out of high school got married and had kids. We spent years running our kids to different activities and saying "when they grow up and move out, I can live".

Poor health is cited as being very important in the decision to retire for 35 percent of people ages 55 to 59. That's a big chunk of people. A lot of people are also working way past their retirement age for financial reasons.

That is why it is important to enjoy life now. A doctor once told me that the golden years begin at age 50 because it is unlikely at 70 for people to enjoy retirement.

All of these places are beautiful and if you have never been to New York City please go. Manhattan is just full of nice things to do. You must see a Broadway show.

25 Places to Visit in the USA

Live for the Moment

Life quickly passes us by and one day you will wake up and be 70. Its bound to happen unless they come up with some kind of crazy potion to keep you 29 forever. Enjoy the world. Make memories with your family. Teach your children there is more to life then your neighborhood. I always urge people to visit a third world country. It is an eye opener for sure and a very good lesson for kids because they don't realize how good they have it.

Don't be afraid to travel. There are safe places all over the world for you to visit. Make a bucket list and complete it.
